🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1958, in Alaska, a UFO case was reported that stood out for its unusual nature. An observer at the Wildwood (Arms) station reported a smoke trail four miles long stretching toward the southeast. The observation lasted 30 minutes, and although the object that produced it was not identified, it was considered possible that it was a condensation trail from an aircraft that had already left the area.
Military personnel analyzed the report and included it in Project 10073, an initiative to study unidentified aerial phenomena. Although no photos were taken and radar was not used, the report accurately described the direction and duration of the phenomenon. While other explanations such as astronomical objects or balloons were ruled out, the report concluded that there was insufficient data for a definitive evaluation. This case, like many others, remains on the border between the known and the unexplained.
