🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1958, two men in Halsingborg, Sweden, claimed to have seen and fought with three or four "beings" who landed and took off in a flying saucer-like spacecraft. According to the report, the witnesses described a strange situation, but Swedish and U.S. authorities concluded there was insufficient evidence to support the story. Investigators considered the possibility of a hoax or hallucination. Although the idea of extraterrestrials was mentioned, no concrete evidence was found. The case was filed without further action, but interest in the topic persisted, especially among intelligence services.
The report also mentions that the U.S. Air Force in Europe collaborated with Swedish authorities to evaluate other UFO sightings in the country. In most cases, it was concluded that they were Soviet attempts to test Swedish radar systems or simple pranks. Only one case, related to the so-called "angel's hair," could not be fully explained. However, in this specific Halsingborg case, no significant findings justified further investigation.
