UFO Sighted Near Incirlik AFB in 1958

Summary

An unidentified object was observed on December 21, 1958 near Incirlik Air Base in Turkey. It was described as a dull-colored, elongated object with a glow at the rear, possibly resembling a jet engine exhaust. It had no additional lights and was silhouetted against the lights of the city of Adana. Although its size could not be estimated, it appeared smaller than an F-100. The object moved rapidly from Adana toward Incirlik AFB, then climbed and disappeared from view. Despite notifying the control tower, no friendly aircraft activity was recorded in the area. The evaluation concluded it could be an aircraft, but no definitive confirmation was made.
