🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1958, a witness in New York observed a luminous object initially thought to be a train. The object, moving at low altitude, deviated from the railroad tracks and approached the observer, who described an intense light that caused heat and left him unable to react. Despite the report arriving decades later, in 1966, the information was considered useful for the file, though limited due to the time elapsed. The report, part of Project Blue Book, includes no photos or physical evidence, but a detailed description of the phenomenon.
The case was classified as "information only" due to the difficulty in verifying the data over time. The witness, not a habitual UFO enthusiast, decided to report the experience after noticing an increase in recent sightings. The object's description as a white light with a blue-green halo and its unusual behavior stand out as key elements of the report.
