In January 1959, a witness in Brooklyn observed a bright, metallic object in the sky. He described it as oval-shaped, about the size of a dime, and saw it for just over a second. The object showed no signs of being an aircraft or balloon, and left no contrail. A friend also saw it but didn’t pay much attention. The witness insisted it wasn’t a conventional plane, noting it had no wings or noise.
The official investigation concluded it was likely a sun reflection on an aircraft, but the witness wasn’t convinced. He claimed the object was at a great height, around 10 miles up, and its solid, metallic appearance set it apart from ordinary objects. Though the report deemed the data insufficient for evaluation, the witness maintained that what he saw wasn’t a natural phenomenon or a regular plane.
