🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An Air Force officer reported an unidentified object over Cincinnati, Ohio, in February 1959. A B-57 piloted by Lieutenant Bradley was at 41,000 feet when he spotted a round object emitting red, white, and green lights at five-second intervals. The pilot chased it for 21 minutes and about 200 miles west at 0.8 Mach speed. Other aircraft also confirmed the object's presence, suggesting multiple witnesses. Despite the duration and clarity of the sighting, no definitive conclusion was reached about the object's nature.
The official report classifies the incident as likely an aircraft, though other explanations are not ruled out. The lack of photographs and the inability to intercept the object add mystery to the case. This event is part of a series of UFO sightings recorded during the Cold War, when military authorities tried to identify every unusual aerial phenomenon.
