🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1959, an observer in Freiburg, Germany, spotted a bright yellow object surrounded by a greenish halo. Its speed was estimated between 600 and 800 kilometers per hour, and other witnesses described it as a disk-like object that initially resembled a shooting star before changing direction. Despite multiple sightings, the reports concluded that there was insufficient information to evaluate the phenomenon with certainty. Limited data and conflicting descriptions made it impossible to classify the event definitively.
This case was recorded under Project 10073, a U.S. naval intelligence initiative that collected reports on unidentified flying objects. Although several explanations such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were considered, none were confirmed. The report was marked as "unclassified," but its content remained sensitive due to its connection to national defense. The Freiburg incident adds to the long list of unresolved sightings that have intrigued researchers and UFO enthusiasts for decades.
