🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1959, two Trans World Airlines pilots reported seeing two oval white and silver objects near Tuba-City, Arizona. The objects, the size of a basketball, appeared very close to each other and then visually merged into one. The pilots described the objects as being at around 35,000 feet and heading east. Despite the clear sighting, no photos were taken and no radar was involved.
The investigation concluded that the objects were likely two B-47 aircraft flying in a tight formation. This explanation was supported by reports of air operations in the area. However, the physical description and behavior of the objects did not fully match expectations for conventional aircraft, leaving the possibility that the phenomenon was not entirely identified.
