🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1959, a mysterious red light appeared over Montreal, Canada, baffling both civilian and military observers. The light, which seemed to hang in the sky between 3,000 and 7,000 feet, remained visible for a few minutes before disappearing rapidly to the north at a speed estimated to be faster than sound. Although several witnesses described it in different ways —ranging from a red cigar to a black sphere with a light—, what was most striking was that it did not appear on radar screens.
The Canadian Air Force investigated the incident but found nothing significant. It was concluded that the object could have been a spotlight or searchlight from an icebreaker in the St. Lawrence River channel. Despite the official explanation, the event remains a mystery for many, especially due to its speed and lack of radar detection.
