UFO seen between Moon and Saturn in 1959

Summary

In April 1959, a civilian in Detroit observed a disc-shaped object the size of a pea, with a bluish-white color, that appeared suddenly near the Moon and vanished instantly near Saturn. The sighting lasted between 3 and 5 seconds, with no sound or trail. Although a meteor was considered, the report found no conclusive evidence. The witness, an amateur astronomer and chemist, insisted it was not a comet or any astronomical phenomenon.

The weather was clear with no clouds, and strong winds at high altitudes made identification difficult. Despite the officer in charge considering the source reliable, there were no photographs or physical evidence to support the report. This case, like many others, remains in uncertainty, between the natural and the unexplained.
