🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1950, an air observer reported a luminous phenomenon in the North Pacific. The object, described as an exceptionally bright meteor, left a red trail and eventually disintegrated into a shower of red pieces. The observation lasted four months, suggesting a prolonged event. Although various options such as balloons or aircraft were considered, the report concluded it was likely an astronomical phenomenon. This case is part of a series of UFO sightings in the region during the 1950s.
