🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A United Airlines pilot reported in 1959 an object resembling a rocket over the Pacific. The crew observed flashes and luminous spheres, but no missile launch was confirmed. The Air Force investigated and concluded it was likely a meteor. Records showed the object had no tail or noise, ruling out a ballistic missile. Although initially considered a threat, analysis determined it was a natural phenomenon. This case illustrates how UFO sightings were scientifically addressed during the Cold War.
