Summary

Two planes reported seeing fireballs in southeast Ohio, each in different locations but with nearly identical descriptions. One was at 1000 feet northeast of Clinton County, while the other was about 6 miles west of Washington Courthouse. Both planes noticed objects traveling at an estimated speed of 600 miles per hour, which raised attention due to their speed. However, no information was given about the direction, altitude, or exact movement of the objects, making it difficult to draw any conclusive evaluation. Due to the lack of additional data, investigators could not determine if it was a balloon, an aircraft, an astronomical phenomenon, or another explanation.

The Air Force recorded the sighting in an official report, but no further details or follow-up were obtained. This left the situation in limbo, without a clear conclusion. Although the possibility of balloons or aircraft was mentioned, there was no evidence to support any of these theories. The case remains one of those UFO reports that, due to lack of information, cannot be classified with certainty.
