🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A silver object the size of a grapefruit was observed in Dayton, Ohio, in August 1959. Witnesses described it as rotating with indistinct edges. The object suddenly disappeared, sparking confusion. Although initially considered a UFO, investigators concluded it was likely a weather balloon released by the local station. Two witnesses confirmed the object resembled a balloon, supporting this theory. The timing of the sighting coinciding with the balloon's launch further suggests it was a misinterpreted conventional object rather than an unexplained phenomenon.
