🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1959, an observer at RAF Kirknewton air base in Scotland reported an unidentified object that appeared as a bright white to yellow light. The object was the size of a dime and remained at low altitude, moving at 75 to 150 mph, for about 5 to 7 minutes. No signs of exhaust or noise were observed, which caused confusion about its nature. Initial reports considered the possibility of a balloon, but no definitive conclusion was reached.
The official report includes testimonies from multiple observers, including military personnel experienced in aircraft identification. All agreed that the object did not display characteristics of a conventional aircraft. Despite investigations, no clear explanation was found. The light moved in an unusual manner and did not match the expected patterns of aircraft or known atmospheric phenomena. This case remains one of the unresolved mysteries in UFO history.
