Summary

In September 1959, several Marines at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, reported the sighting of unidentified objects. The observers, including officers and soldiers, described bright white and yellow point sources of light that suddenly appeared in the sky. The objects moved at extremely high speeds, oscillating, rolling, and darting. Although the observers seemed sincere, the nature of what they saw could not be determined with certainty. A weather balloon was mentioned as a possible explanation, but no physical evidence confirmed this.

The observation lasted between 15 and 30 seconds, and the objects disappeared quickly toward the west-southwest. The weather conditions were favorable, with a bright moon and partly cloudy skies. Although detailed weather data was recorded, no clear explanation for the phenomenon was found. This case remains one of many in the history of UFOs that have no definitive resolution.
