🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1959, a military technician at Keesler AFB, Mississippi, observed a luminous object in the sky that appeared to be connected to a solar eclipse. The object, the size of a full moon, changed color from white to orange and eventually exploded. The witness described it as a gaseous mass in constant motion, and although he initially mistook it for the moon, he soon realized it was something different. The phenomenon lasted about three minutes and remained stationary, raising many questions about its nature.
The official investigation concluded there was insufficient data to determine the object's origin. The witness, a trained radio technician, mentioned that one of his colleagues thought it could be an atomic explosion in space. However, there was no confirmation of this theory. The letter he sent to the Atomic Energy Commission was answered with a request for more data, but no clear conclusion was reached. The case remains unsolved, and the testimony continues to be a mystery in the UFO database.
