Summary

In October 1959, an object was observed for two hours over Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Described as round, blue-white turning orange at sunset, and the size of a pebble to a dime, the object caught the attention of both civilians and military personnel. Some witnesses used a telescope and noted that it appeared to have a circular ridge. The slow movement and the fact that it moved in the direction of the wind led investigators to conclude it was likely a balloon.

Although it initially caused some uncertainty, later analyses ruled out astronomical phenomena or satellites. The object's description, behavior, and lack of radar data supported the balloon theory. Despite this, the nature of the object remains a topic of interest for UFO enthusiasts.
