🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1959, an observer in Biscayne Bay, Florida, reported an unidentified object at high altitude. The object had a white aura and was moving southeast at an estimated speed of 1000 mph. It was visually observed for about 20 seconds before disappearing into a cloud bank. The location and flight direction led investigators to consider it possibly a missile, although no confirmation data was available. This case was classified as a missile sighting due to the observed characteristics.
The report, part of Project 10073, did not include photos or radar data. The witness, aboard the yacht "Intermezzo," accurately described the altitude and speed of the object. Although no additional confirmations were found, investigators concluded the sighting characteristics matched those of a missile. The case remains a mystery, but its historical record offers an intriguing clue about what it might have been.
