🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1959, an observer in Blue Ash, Ohio, reported a bright object in the sky resembling a star. The object remained stationary and had one side brighter toward the sun. Using a compass and protractor, the position was measured, and Venus was in the exact location at the time. Several witnesses described it as spherical or oval, but it was concluded to be Venus.
The observer contacted air traffic control to attempt radar confirmation, but nothing was found. The object vanished hours later. Despite clear visibility and binocular observations, no alternative explanation emerged. The report concluded it was an astronomical phenomenon, though the testimony hints at something more.
