🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1959, a radar on Victoria Island (Canada) detected an unidentified object for 1 hour and 33 minutes. The estimated speed ranged between 40 and 60 knots, and the course was toward the southeast. Although a balloon was considered a possibility, the lack of precise data and the presence of anomalous propagation in the area made a conclusive evaluation difficult. Meteorologists pointed to a thermal inversion and permanent echoes as possible causes of the phenomenon. Ultimately, the case was classified as insufficient for further analysis.
