An elongated object, the size of a pea, was seen falling in flames over Denver on January 19, 1960. Witnesses described a bluish body with a tail of the same size, which vanished instantly. Although initially considered a balloon or aircraft, the speed and duration of the sighting point to a meteor. The Air Force concluded it was likely an astronomical phenomenon. The official report classifies it as a typical meteor.
