🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1960, a civilian in Monroe, Wisconsin, observed a bright round object resembling a star. The object appeared to the south, moved overhead, then turned southeast before fading out. The sighting lasted two minutes and was recorded by the U.S. Air Force. Although initially considered as an aircraft or astronomical object, investigators concluded it was likely a weather balloon. The winds in the area matched the object's path, and no aircraft were reported in the area at the time. Despite this explanation, the report remains somewhat mysterious, as no physical evidence was obtained and the observation occurred during twilight, which could have distorted the observer's perception of speed and distance.
