🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1960, a U.S. Air Force pilot reported seeing a bright object in the sky near Terre Haute, Indiana. The object, described as a "green flare," was observed by three different aircraft flying at an altitude of 22,000 feet. Although no clear images or additional data were obtained, the witnesses agreed that the object was descending and then leveling off before disappearing. The lack of detailed information made it difficult to evaluate the phenomenon.
Bunker Hill Air Force Base requested an investigation into the incident, but no clear response was received. Several possibilities were considered, including weather balloons, conventional aircraft, and astronomical phenomena, but none were confirmed. The case remained unresolved, adding to the list of unexplained sightings from that era.
