Summary

In March 1960, a 30-pound chunk of ice fell from the sky in Dalton, Massachusetts, creating a hole in a family's yard. The Aerospace Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) investigated the incident but found no aerial objects or structures from which the ice could have originated. The impact pattern was evenly distributed over a 28x28 feet area, and the ice had a porous texture similar to rime. Despite analysis, no clear conclusion about its origin was reached.

The ice was analyzed in military labs, revealing minerals like calcium, magnesium, and silicon. However, its natural or artificial origin remained uncertain. The case was shared with scientists and UFO experts, including Dr. J. Allen Hynek, in hopes that future cases might reveal patterns leading to an explanation. While no definitive answer was found, the incident remains an intriguing example of an unexplained phenomenon.
