🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1960, a civilian reported an object descending with a comet-like tail, two to three times larger than Venus. The object had a greenish white color and appeared like an aircraft on fire. Although Sputnik III reentered that day, the sighting's characteristics did not match a satellite reentry. Investigators concluded it was likely a meteor, though the color and duration of the sighting raised doubts. The witness mentioned radio interference at a local station, adding to the mystery. Despite detailed observations, there were no photos or radar data to confirm the object's nature.
