🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1960, a witness in Jeffersonville, Indiana, observed a luminous object descending from the sky. He described an elongated shape, pale green in color with reddish and brownish reflections on the front part. The object intensely brightened and dimmed, changed shape, and moved along a flat trajectory. The witness, a fire inspector, had no prior experience with aerial observations but noted the object did not behave like a typical meteorite. The description suggested it might be a fireball, though no photos or radar confirmed it.
The Air Force report did not reach a definitive conclusion. Several possibilities were considered, from balloons to astronomical objects, but the unknown nature of the phenomenon could not be ruled out. The witness mentioned others also saw the object, though their identities could not be verified. The case was filed without resolution, adding another mystery to UFO history.
