🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1960, an observer in Orleans, France, saw a luminous object descending rapidly with a trailing flame. The report, classified under Project 10073, describes a white point the size of a thumbtack head, visible for just two seconds. Although initially considered a UFO, investigators concluded it was likely a meteor. The object's description and trajectory matched typical astronomical features, leading to the dismissal of other explanations like balloons or aircraft.
The report was submitted by military personnel and analyzed by various USAF units. Despite the brief sighting and lack of photographs, available data supported the astronomical hypothesis. There was no conclusive evidence of an unidentified object, and the report was closed with an evaluation favoring the meteor explanation. This case exemplifies how UFO sightings often resolve with natural explanations after detailed analysis.
