In April 1960, six children in Cincinnati, Ohio, reported seeing red, green, and white lights in the sky over a 15-minute period. The sightings were sporadic and brief, with the lights appearing to move randomly. Due to low clouds and haze, investigators considered the possibility that the lights were reflections of city lights in the atmosphere. Although no photos were taken, the children's detailed accounts were recorded.
The confusion between natural phenomena and unidentified aerial objects is common in such cases. The combination of weather conditions and observers' perspectives can lead to varied interpretations. In this case, the most plausible hypothesis points to city light reflections in the haze, although other explanations were not ruled out.
