🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A green object the size of a tennis ball was sighted over Rhodesia in 1960, traveling at approximately 3000 mph. Witnesses included civil aviation personnel, and the object was observed for three seconds. The official response identified it as a fireball, a bright meteor that can leave a trail and cause visible explosions. Although the reported speed was low for a meteor, possible errors in the witnesses' timepieces were considered. The report requested additional data for a full evaluation, such as witness names and weather conditions.
