🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1960, a farmer in Michigan witnessed a flaming object falling from the sky. On May 28, a 16-year-old boy plowing a field noticed a bright object descending from the southwest at a 75-degree angle. The object landed just 5 feet from his tractor and scorched the ground upon impact. After cooling, the object was recovered and analyzed. Results showed it was a piece of soft iron, likely coated with lead-based paint, that had been exposed to high temperatures. Although initially considered a balloon or astronomical event, these were ruled out. The exact nature of the object remains unexplained.
