🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A bright blue-green object was seen in the sky over Dayton, Ohio, in 1960. The witness described it as descending at an angle, resembling a shooting star but different from any she had seen before. The object disappeared behind trees after just one second of observation. Although brief, the description of its color and movement suggests a possible meteorological explanation, though other causes were not ruled out.
The U.S. Air Force collected this information as part of its efforts to understand unidentified aerial phenomena. The witness did not use optical instruments and there were no other witnesses present. While a meteor was considered, the data was insufficient for a definitive conclusion, leaving the nature of the event unresolved.
