🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A woman in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, captured a strange image in the sky in 1960 while filming contrails from aircraft. In the footage, parallel rays of light form a rectangle, which then transforms into a circle. The image generated significant interest, as it coincided with a loud sonic boom heard by many people. Although a lens aberration caused by direct sunlight was suspected, the possibility of a supersonic aircraft was also considered.
The film was analyzed by Air Force experts, who noted that the contrails moved within the frames, indicating camera motion. Despite the investigations, no definitive conclusion was reached. The film was returned to the witness, and the case was filed as insufficient for evaluation. The phenomenon remains an unsolved mystery.
