🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1960, a witness in Concord, Massachusetts, observed a bright orange object moving rapidly from the south to the west. The object appeared behind trees and quickly ascended, flashing as it traveled. Although a satellite was ruled out, investigators considered it could be a balloon or, alternatively, an unidentified object. The witness did not use binoculars or telescopes, nor did she take photographs, and no sound was heard.
The sighting lasted no more than 30 seconds, limiting the ability to analyze the object further. While an astronomical phenomenon was dismissed, the object's speed suggested it could be an aircraft. However, due to insufficient data, the report was sent to an Air Technical Intelligence Center for further evaluation.
