🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1960, a witness in Danvers, Massachusetts, observed a mysterious object that appeared to emerge from a jet and disappear into the clouds. The object was described as a "rocket ship" and had metallic reflections. The witness did not attempt to find additional witnesses, complicating the evaluation of the case. Due to the object's proximity to the sun, it was suggested it could have been an optical phenomenon. The lack of precise data prevented a clear conclusion.
The observation occurred near the sun, within a 3-degree margin, which limited visibility. The witness, a civilian, did not provide additional details about other witnesses or the exact surroundings. The Air Force considered the object not to be a balloon, aircraft, or known astronomical phenomenon. The data was deemed insufficient for a definitive evaluation.
