🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A military officer and several observers reported a luminous object with a blue tail in July 1960. The object, described as round or teardrop-shaped, appeared suddenly with intense light that illuminated the surrounding countryside. It was observed for 4 to 5 seconds before disappearing over the horizon. The main witness, an experienced meteorologist, suggested it could be a satellite reentering the atmosphere. Weather conditions were ideal for observation, with clear skies and excellent visibility. Despite the witness's reliability, no physical evidence was found. The official conclusion pointed to a meteor or astronomical event.
