🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1960, near Biggs Air Force Base in Texas, a UFO sighting was reported that sparked some discussion. Four objects, described as the size of a baseball, were seen in formation and left a dark red fire trail. Witnesses noted that the objects separated and disappeared instantly. The military report suggests it could have been a meteorite disintegration, although conclusive evidence was lacking. The investigating officer mentioned that he had observed several meteor trails shortly after the sighting, hinting at a possible natural explanation.
The officer considered the data insufficient for a definitive evaluation, but the testimonies seemed reasonably reliable. There were no photographs or radar evidence, and the observer did not use optical aids. Although the phenomenon could not be confirmed, the detailed description and the coincidence with other meteor trails suggest it might have been an unusual astronomical event. The report concludes that, while unconfirmed, the most plausible explanation points to a natural phenomenon.
