🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A U.S. naval attaché and his wife reported a bright object in the sky over Tel Aviv, Israel, on July 2, 1960. The object showed no apparent movement but appeared to glow and grow larger. The witnesses thought it might be a burning aircraft and contacted Lydda and Flo control towers, but received no confirmation. The lack of precise data, such as the duration of the sighting, made evaluation difficult. Several explanations were considered, from a weather balloon to an astronomical phenomenon, but no definitive conclusion was reached. The report concluded that, with the available information, it was not possible to determine the nature of the object.
