🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A couple from Marlin, Texas, reported in 1960 a luminous object that changed color and direction. They saw a bright white light the size of a human head, followed by a red one, moving quickly before turning north. The object made no sound and left small embers falling. Although a jet aircraft was considered, no flights were confirmed in the area.
The official evaluation concluded that the data was insufficient. Winds did not support a balloon theory, and the observer failed to identify the object. Despite a night search by helicopter, no physical evidence was found. The case remains unresolved, straddling the conventional and the unexplained.
