🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1960, a witness in Texas observed two round objects the size of a half-dollar coin. These changed color from intense white to dark red, fading and reappearing while performing arc maneuvers. The sighting lasted five minutes, but clouds hindered observation. Due to there being only one witness, the report concluded that the data was insufficient.
The sighting occurred three miles south of Mineral Wells, Texas, in the early morning. Possible explanations such as balloons or aircraft were considered, but no definitive confirmation was reached. The report noted that the movement of the objects aligned with the wind direction, supporting the balloon theory. However, balloons scheduled for that day should have already been at high altitude, making visibility unlikely. Ultimately, it was concluded that there was not enough information for a conclusive evaluation.
