UFO sighted in Misawa, Japan in 1960

Summary

A brilliant white object with a bluish tint was observed in Misawa, Japan, in July 1960. A USAF technician saw it while traveling in a taxi. The object had no visible tail, made no sound, and moved very slowly, faster than a meteor. It remained in view for six seconds before disappearing over the horizon. Although a daytime meteor was considered, no definitive explanation was reached.
