🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1960, an observer at North Concord AFS, Vermont, reported a circular object with a white tail and blue tip. The witness described the object as roughly the size of a basketball at arm's length, with a trail similar to a pencil. The phenomenon lasted one minute and disappeared suddenly, as if someone had turned off a light. Although initially considered a meteor, the correlation with other sightings in the area supported this conclusion. Atmospheric response and the lack of other witnesses contributed to the final evaluation.
