🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1960, a witness in Madison, Wisconsin, observed a bright white object resembling a quarter in size. The object was seen for 15 minutes and appeared to change direction and speed periodically. Although it was initially considered a balloon or aircraft, the data was insufficient for a clear evaluation. The report noted that the object passed near Regulus, a star that had already set, complicating identification further. The lack of radar or photographic evidence left many questions unanswered.
The official investigation concluded that there was not enough information to determine the object's nature. It was considered possibly the Echo I satellite, but no confirmation was made. The testimony, while detailed, lacked data such as exact altitude or trajectory, limiting analysis. Despite this, the case remains an unresolved mystery in UFO history.
