🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1960, a family in Uniontown, Ohio, observed two bright objects with spinning motion. First, they saw a metallic object the size of a half-dollar, moving from southeast to northwest. Before it disappeared, another similar object appeared nearby. Witnesses described shapes resembling spinning tops or discs, with sunlight reflecting off them. Although the report suggested it might be an aircraft, observers insisted there was no sound and the behavior was unusual. Three children and a neighbor also confirmed the description.
The Air Force requested more information, but collected data already included precise location details, observation duration (3 minutes), and multiple witness accounts. Despite official evaluation, witnesses could not explain the sudden disappearance or unusual movement of the objects. The case reflects the typical confusion of sightings from that era, where lack of photos and reliance on visual testimony made clear classification difficult.
