🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1960, a woman in Pontiac, Michigan, observed a bright object moving rapidly from south to north, stopping and reversing direction several times. The report, under Project 10073, could not determine the object's nature due to insufficient data. The sighting was reported by a civilian and passed through multiple Air Force intelligence levels, including the Chicago ADS Intelligence Division. Although a balloon or satellite was mentioned as possibilities, no definitive conclusion was reached.
The report highlights the difficulty in obtaining more details, as the reporting process was complicated and standard procedures were not followed. The observer, whose name was redacted, was fishing at Green Lake when she saw the object. Despite the communication confusion, it was assured that all efforts would be made to contact her if more information was needed. The case remains unresolved, like many from that era.
