🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August and September 1960, David City, Nebraska, witnessed multiple sightings of an unidentified object. Twenty-four people observed it, describing color changes between red, blue, green, yellow, and white. Although the accounts varied slightly, all agreed the object appeared to spin or show some movement. Some thought the blue color resembled exhaust. The official investigation concluded the phenomenon could be explained by atmospheric refraction of common astronomical objects, such as bright planets or stars. There was no evidence it was a balloon, aircraft, or satellite. Despite the absence of clouds, dust in the air was noted, which could have contributed to the optical illusion. The case was classified as "other" due to the inability to determine a concrete cause.
