🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round and luminous object was sighted in Michigan in 1960. Witnesses in Trout Creek and Ontonagon described a green and orange fireball, the size of a pea, slowly descending toward the southwest. The object, trailing flame, was observed for about 30 seconds before disappearing behind rooftops. Two people reported the phenomenon, adding credibility to the account. Although a meteorite or astronomical object was considered possible, no conclusive physical evidence was found. The description fit typical meteor characteristics, but the duration of the sighting was unusual.
