In September 1960, a witness in Denver, Colorado, observed a bright object moving up and down in the sky. They described a round orange object the size of a baseball with a trailing flame. The object vanished suddenly to the west. The sighting lasted one to two minutes, and the report concluded that there was insufficient data to evaluate the phenomenon. Despite the clear description, no further investigation was conducted.
Another report from the same year mentions a pink object that repeatedly appeared and disappeared, leaving a dark trail. Although it was considered possibly an aircraft with a condensation trail, the exact nature of the phenomenon remains unknown. These cases reflect the difficulty of interpreting aerial sightings without additional data, such as distance or speed.
