🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1960, a witness in Dedham, Massachusetts, observed a white, star-like object. It appeared directly overhead and moved northeast for two minutes, passing near Polaris. Though not as bright as the Echo satellite, it moved several times faster. The official report could not identify the object with certainty, considering it possibly an aircraft or balloon, but there was not enough data for a definitive conclusion.
The family had gone out to watch the pass of Echo, a visible satellite, and upon returning home noticed the object. Although the witness and their children initially thought it was a satellite, its speed and behavior did not match expectations. The report was sent to the Aerospace Technical Intelligence Center for further analysis, but no conclusive explanation was reached.
