In September 1960, two Canadian ships observed a cylindrical object larger than an airplane with light-like windows along its side. The object approached the ocean surface at an angle, hit it, and disappeared underwater. Although balloon and aircraft explanations were initially considered, investigators concluded it was likely a meteor.
